IBFA UK® Announces the Launch of the WPC – World Professional Circuit

IBFA UK® is proud to announce the official formation of its sister organisation, the WPC – World Professional Circuit, established on 29 June 2026.

The WPC has been created as a dedicated professional bodybuilding league, providing athletes with a clear pathway from amateur competition into the professional ranks.

Through the IBFA UK® amateur league, competitors will have the opportunity to earn WPC Professional Cards, allowing them to achieve professional status and compete on the World Professional Circuit from the 2027 season onwards.

This development represents a significant step forward for IBFA UK®, creating greater opportunities for athletes and offering a structured progression from amateur bodybuilding to international professional competition.

International Professional Opportunities

IBFA UK® is also pleased to invite eligible athletes to compete at the ACP French Finals on 18 October 2026. This prestigious international event provides competitors with an additional opportunity to earn professional status through the ACP Federation, further expanding the pathways available to dedicated athletes.

WPC Professional Events – 2027

The inaugural WPC professional calendar will feature three major professional competitions:

  • WPC World Championships – Alicante, Spain (date to be confirmed)
  • WPC European Championships – Portugal (date to be confirmed)
  • WPC United Kingdom Professional Championships – Venue and date to be announced

Further information regarding qualification criteria, professional membership, prize structures and event dates will be released over the coming months.

The launch of the WPC reflects IBFA UK®’s ongoing commitment to providing athletes with the highest standards of competition, genuine opportunities for progression, and a respected professional platform for bodybuilding across the United Kingdom and internationally.
